Amanda and Ben got married at High House, which is a venue in Althorne, Essex with stunning grounds. It was one of the most fun weddings I’ve shot and the sun even made an appearance!

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony was an intimate affair in a beautiful barn within the grounds. During the ceremony they read their own vows. It was such a personal service.

They decorated the venue beautifully with lanterns and white roses, which I loved. The reception was in the marquee that is situated within the grounds at High House – I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for portraits. Weddings at High House are amazing, because the grounds are just incredible to shoot in with lots of space.

WHY HIGH HOUSE IS A GREAT PLACE TO GET MARRIED

High House is perfect for intimate weddings, and is one of the loveliest places to get married in Essex. The venue offers an amazing atmosphere for a wedding – and there are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photos.

THE RECEPTION

The couple had a cocktail drinks reception in the afternoon, and live music in the evening. For dinner they had proper wedding grub, and they finished off the evening with their first dance dancing to ‘How Long Will I Love You’ by Ellie Goulding.

THE COUPLE

Amanda wore a classic white dress and Ben wore a grey jacket with a colourful pink tie and they both looked really amazing.
